At Neimans With Santa

For the first time ever Sara and Clayton got to go see Santa! Sara was very excited and could not wait to tell Santa she wanted a Barbie from the Barbie and the Diamond Castle Movie. We were very fortunate because Santa was not very busy when we went to see him. Even though both kids were a little scared at first we had plenty of time to meet Santa and talk to him before it was time for pictures. And what better to break the ice than playing on some great toys!

School Preformance

Sara was an angel in her school Christmas play at Ridgewood Park Preschool. We enjoyed watching her smiling face as she sang the wonderful Christmas songs.

Christmas Party

This year Sara and her ballet class preformed at the annual Rockwall Ward Christmas Party. We had lots of fun with family and friends. Jason was even able to break away from studying to join us. It was a great way to kick off the holidays.

Tis the season to be grateful for wonderful children!

Reverchon Park

As a family we rarely leave Dallas so we are always looking for fun things to do on Saturday. Well last Saturday Jason wanted to take us to a park he found one day while riding his bike to school. The park is called Reverchon and it is really a neat little place! There is a pretty big mountain that they have added stone steps and furniture to that reminded me of some of the Indian ruins we visited when I was little. The kids had so much fun hiking over mountains and along rivers and it was just a few minutes from our home. They really liked the "tunnels" or underpasses because they could hear there own echo as they yelled. Oh, and as we were hiking we noticed that an unfortunate person had driven their car over the cliff from the parking lot into the river. From observing the tow truck and people it looked like they just put their car in drive instead of reverse and away they went. It made me feel like I was having a pretty good day especially in comparison to that persons.

Trick Or Treat!

What a fun way to celebrate the arrival of wonderful weather! We had so much fun with the kids this Halloween season. We started off with a fun trip to the zoo filled with wonderful animals, games, and trick-or-treating. Sara remembered getting to go trick or treating at the zoo last year and was really excited to get to go again. That same evening our ward had its Halloween carnival followed by trunk-or-treating. The kids had so much fun getting to play with all of their favorite friends! A week later when Halloween finally arrived we started the day with a parade at Sara's school, and ended it by going to our family's ward for trunk-or-treating and then to my in-laws neighborhood for some awesome trick-or-treating on the golf cart. It was a perfect holiday! Clayton really got into the trick-or-treating and would repeat the phrase all the way up the drive way. The kids were great, and it was do wonderful to spend such a fantastic time with great family and friends! Definitely the best in my book.
